12.2023 to 04.2024 - Extension of the business: Impuls Consulting

The team is growing to expand the existing business. The goal is to offer the best possible support and reactivity for our clients’ projects.

03.2023 to 01.2024 - Contract with a manufacturer of extrusion, reaction, and injection molding machines
Areas of Responsibility: coordination and support in procurement for development projects – interface between project and procurement teams. Management forward sourcing.

– Coordination for all commodities with all purchasers for the following projects
– Project 1: relocation of a series of injection molding machines from China
– Evaluation and comparison of machine versions with different procurement options
– Definition of the procurement strategy with all relevant stakeholders
– Problem-solving for import/export/transport/customs/SAP issues
– Project 2: development of a 3D printing machine (large format – plastic granulate)
– Procurement advice and support in the project for the preparation of serial production
– Cost evaluation of the entire bill of materials and identification of potential savings
– Tracking of open quotations and tender processes with suppliers
– Project 3: development of a 3D printing machine (small format – liquid resin)
– Procurement advice and support in purchasing for the development of a new prototype
– Optimization in supplier selection and awarding of contracts
– Tracking of needs/deliveries with strategic and operational purchasing and suppliers

10.2022 to 05.2023 - Contract with a manufacturer of extrusion, reaction, and injection molding machines
Areas of Responsibility: ensuring global material supply of plants through escalation management of critical suppliers. Project management expediting.

– Purchasing specificities: quantity allowance at many suppliers, supply bottlenecks, high delivery times
– Matching of demand quantities with planned delivery quantities and risk assessment for manufacturing supply
– Escalation of corresponding missing parts at suppliers, either directly or in close coordination with the lead Buyer / with the plants (Germany, Slovakia, China, Switzerland)
– Bottleneck calculation and management in coordination with local procurement
– Autonomous evaluation and analysis (SAP-Excel) of data (needs/deliveries/etc.)
– Representation of the procurement in relevant escalation stages
– Commodities managed: electrical components for switchgear, transmissions, electric motors
– Weekly discussions with management and with the plants: status update

03.2022 to 09.2022 - Contract with a manufacturer of special cabins for various industries
Areas of Responsibility: taking over all strategic activities in purchasing and supporting operational purchasing. Interim management for the strategic purchasing.

– Purchasing specificities: extreme increase in delivery times and prices for many products
– Definition of performance indicators for strategic purchasing: savings list, payment terms, etc.
– Creation of the purchasing dashboard for strategic purchasing: top suppliers/commodities, etc.
– Performing data analyses (Excel/ERP) to identify cost-saving potentials
– Creation of various overviews to precisely define needs
– Benchmarking, search for alternatives, negotiation with suppliers, dissolution of single sourcing
– Optimization of purchasing processes to reduce capital tie-up and costs
– Support of operational purchasing in critical situations (supply shortages, etc.)
– Commodities managed: Laser cut bent sheet metal, aluminum profiles, turned and milled parts, climate systems, paint, rubber seals, glass and plastic panes, seats, blinds, electric motors, …
– ERP optimizations for sales to have more current purchasing data for calculation
– Weekly reporting to management with a task list and savings list

01.2022 to 02.2022 - Contract with a manufacturer of metal sawing machines and automatic storage systems
Areas of Responsibility: searching for solutions to identify/prioritize all critical parts for the entire year. Support of the purchasing department (strategic and operational).

– Analysis of the ERP system and purchasing processes, preparation of the current status regarding open orders, missing order confirmations, current missing parts, potential missing parts, missing orders (SAP/Excel), and presentation to management
– Searching for solutions and suggestions to display missing parts for planned products in the system
– Creation of a list for all critical parts considering the planned production
– Recommendation regarding necessary measures with prioritization: system optimization, supplier search, dissolving single sourcing, negotiations, etc.

07.2021 to 09.2021 - Contract with a leader in the areas of access control, door closing systems
Areas of responsibility: various activities in the strategic/operational purchasing and planning. Support of the purchasing team during a critical phase

– Purchasing specificities during the project: outbreak of the global semiconductor crisis
– Searching for alternative suppliers for welded assemblies and turned-milled parts
– Daily processing of the missing parts list and order confirmations as well as searching for solutions with suppliers or with internal customers in case of delivery problems
– Commodities managed in purchasing: sheet metal parts, coating, welded assemblies, electronic components, circuit boards with semiconductor components, lighting systems, …
– Optimization of the supplier complaints list and missing parts list with the involvement of other departments
-Creation of an overview with all current issues in operational purchasing with recommendations for actions: processing order confirmations, AB via EDI (SAP), price adjustments, reminders for missing ABs, reminders for missing parts, etc.
-Creation of an overview through data analysis and calculations with the exact quantities of all materials (steel, aluminum, plastic, glass, etc.) used in the previous year

02.2020 to now - Contract with an international inspection and certification company
Areas of responsibility: inspection of products, facilities, and monitoring of production processes. Freelance Assessor (each assignment on request)

-Final inspection of radar level meters
-Test inspection of a flexible connection – offshore
-Test inspection of a pump system for the heavy industry
-Final inspection of industrial drives
-Test inspection of a steam turbine rotor for a power plant
-Final inspection of float-type flowmeters

03.2019 to 11.2020 - Contract with a dealer with a technical customer service in the field of fire protection/rescue
Areas of Responsibility: technical and commercial project coordination. Undertaking the projects coordination.

– Main contact and interface between the customer and partners (Morocco-EU)
– Negotiation of contract terms and product prices with partners
– Visits to end-customers with the partner to sell new projects
– Interface between end-customers and partners during technical meetings
– Products: firefighting vehicles for industry/airports, rescue

03.2019 to 09.2020 - Contract with a dealer offering complete industrial solutions for manufacturing plants
Areas of responsibility: technical advice and responsibility for procurement. Undertaking the procurement activities.

– Procurement and supplier search for manufacturing machines (e.g.: EMO trade fair Hannover)
– Negotiations with partners and suppliers (contract, payment terms, etc.)
– Visits to manufacturers, evaluation of plants/acceptance of systems (China, EU)
– Database analysis: classification of all end customers and suppliers for the past 5 years
– Products: CNC machines, presses, laser cutting machines, measuring arms, band saws, etc.

02.2019 - Founding of the consulting business: Impuls’ Projects

The goal is to support customers in the field of purchasing (both direct and indirect purchasing, operational as well as strategic purchasing), procurement, and supplier management.
